Blockgammon is a board game for two players in which the playing checkers are moved according to the roll of dice. Although luck is envolved, winning in Blockgammon requires a great deal of experience and strategic skills.

Origins

Blockgammon is a traditionnal lebanese board game called "Mahbusa" (Mahbusa means "imprisoned" in arabic). Much like Backgammon, the objective of the game is to move the checkers to the home points then remove them from the board. While hitting a checker in backgammon returns it to the opponent's home, hitting a checker in blockgammon imprisons it (see the rules for more details).
